Cookie Policy

The short version

Keep The Club's own code sets no cookies. There are no advertising or analytics cookies on this site or on any club's site. What the site does keep in your browser is listed below, along with the third parties whose cookies may appear because of things the site embeds.

What we store in your browser

The member portal uses your browser's storage, not cookies, for the following. None of it is sent to anyone but us, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.

The marketing site at keeptheclub.com stores nothing beyond what is needed to draw the page.

• Your sign-in session, kept by Firebase Authentication in your browser's IndexedDB (or local storage if that is unavailable), so you stay signed in until you sign out or clear it.
• Your dark mode setting, mirrored locally so the page draws in the right theme before your account loads.
• A short queue of error reports that could not be sent yet. Each holds your account id, an error code and which feature failed, until it can be sent.
• Small per-tab flags: that you have seen a membership notice this session, how many sign-in attempts this tab has made, that you chose to enter the member area from a club's public website, and that a page reloaded once after an update. These clear when the tab closes.
• For club officers, a flag that you have seen the explanation of pinned forum threads.

Third-party cookies you may see

We do not control these cookies. Google's and Cloudflare's privacy policies describe them.

• Google: if you sign in with Google, Google's own cookies are used on its sign-in pages. Maps on a club's site are embedded from Google Maps, and Google may set cookies when your browser loads one. When the app's bot check (reCAPTCHA Enterprise) is enabled, Google may set cookies as part of it.
• Cloudflare: club websites are served through Cloudflare, which may set a security cookie on some visits to tell browsers from automated traffic.

Managing cookies and storage

Your browser lets you view, block or clear cookies and site data. Clearing this site's data signs you out and resets your dark mode setting, and blocking storage entirely stops the member portal from keeping you signed in. Because we set no cookies of our own, there is no cookie banner to manage.
